Shopping is hazardous to your health...

Here is Dust Bunny looking out the window. He likes checking out the birds...

We finished the motorcycle scarf today :-) Hubby will be wearing it on Tuesday when he takes his bike out...

Still working on the second Jaywalker sock... Up to the heel flap today :-)

This afternoon, a bunch of us decided to go do a little shopping. We made our semi-annual trip to Fred's for some intimate items... After that, we hit Barnes and Noble and I picked up a couple of new Women's Studies books. Then, we hit Macy's... Shaelyn told me that they had silk jammies... (I absolutely ADORE silk PJ's). We went up to get a pair, since they were $40 each. After we got to the register, they rang up for $14.99 each... Do you believe $14.99 for 100% silk jammies??? Needless to say, we bought all of the PJ's that were left in each of our sizes... 3 pairs for the price of 1... Damn, I can't complain about that :-)

Tomorrow, heading out for brunch with the hubby and will be working on the Jaywalkers... Next up - 2 socks on 2 circs!

Has the stash reached SABLE???

Here is some of the gang on a really cold morning...From L to R we have Killer Shrew, Fromage, Boris and Dust Bunny... Remember that cute little kitten from January 9th??? That is him, all growed up...

Have you ever had one of those days where you were too freaking tired to go to sleep. Today is mine... Been working like a fiend on a problem we detected at work. Last night, I got about 3 hours of sleep total (2 hours the first shot, got called about an issue, solved it, went back to bed then got another hour...) Back to work at 5:30 am for the first meeting of the day, then to the "Explaination to the folks who are really high on the totem pole" meeting, then an hour to herd cats for the problem meeting, then 2 hours in that meeting, an hour to prepare for the next meeting (this doubled as lunch), then the problem detection meeting, then the "this is what is going on this weekend" meeting... All this after being told by my boss's boss to leave early today... (Hmmm, now THAT didn't happen...) Came home to take a nap and I couldn't get to sleep... GRRRR... I will be hitting the hay early tonight... After I head out with my girlfriend, Shaelyn, for a little pre "girl's shopping day out"...

As I was tossing and turning, I decided I needed to organize my stash so I had a better idea of what I had... First, I found I need to get another storage tub for the yarn... So, I have one tub with sweater yarn and the other tub for sock yarn... Has the stash reached SABLE yet? (SABLE = Stash Acquisition Beyond Life Expectancy) Not even close... If I went on a yarn diet, I could knit through both tubs within 18 months... That is good... But man, I have sock yarn that I totally forgot about... One of the great things about having ADD: You find yarn you didn't even know you had :-) This concept also applies to money, socks, husbands, etc... Yes, we digress because we are sleep deprived!

So, what has been going on this week? Tuesday, went over to the Flying Star Cafe with my SnB gals. We were all knitting on our Jaywalkers... Well, except Beth, she finished her pair :-) She did 2 socks on 2 circular needles... That will be the next project when I finish my second Jaywalker and Hubby's scarf... Everyone's socks looked great!!!!!

Wednesday, I stopped by Village Wools to pick up one of the circular needle holders that Scout told us about in her blog... This bag is GREAT! I now have all of my circs in one place! Yippee!!! Looked at the yarn but nothing caught my eye...

Well, time to hit the road and go out drinking... Since I have the luck of holding the weekend on-call pager, I am drinking Pepsi... Watch out, Officers, I am going to be a menace on the road tonight... LOL!!!

Jaywalker #1 is done!

I just finished the first Jaywalker sock today! Hooray!!! Yes, there is a "Nekkid" foot next to it that is asking for another Jaywalker to keep it warm in the Albuquerque cold weather... I thought it was going to be too loose, but the sock turned out really nice and fits my foot really nicely!!!

Here is a side view of the finished sock....

Now, time to cast on sock #2 so my other foot can get warm :-)

Scout, thanks for the button!!! She started the Olympic addition for the Jaywalker socknitters... Yup, I have frogged one attempt...

Yes, I am THAT cute...

Here is another pic of Ashley (aka Mooch) hanging out on my hubby's monitor...

It has been another busy week...

Still working on the Jaywalkers... I didn't like how loose the pair was that I was knitting on the size 1's with Opal, so I got some size 0's and was trying them on Lorna's Laces. I knit for a while and did a try on... They didn't go over my ankle. So, back to the size 1's on the Opal... I turned the heel today and now I am doing the gussett decrease... (Does this sound like a new dance step or what???) Hopefully, I will be ready to start the next one Tues or Wed of this week...

I am still working on hubby's scarf also... We will see if we can get that one wrapped up by the end of next weekend also...

Here is the progress on the Jaywalker... I like it :-)
