Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy Sh*t, what a ride!"

OK, it is Thursday, right???
Man, what a week...
I don't think I have had a day shorter than 13 hours at work this week... I am tired...
I will try to update tomorrow on what progress has been made. Since I have been working so much, I have not had a bit of time to knit on anything...
It looks like work is finally mellowing out. I am going to try to bug out early today and head home and see the 2 people who are listed on my tax return and the fur kids!!!

Nope, still not over it
I went back to work today thinking I had beat the creeping crud.... Yeahrightsurewhatever. By noon, I felt like someone had run over me with a freaking truck... I am still totally exhausted. I feel better than yesterday, though. Hopefully by Friday I will be back to 100%. Until then? Rest, lots of fluids and knitting...
Now, this is one from the archives... Our fur kid pictured here is Dust Bunny (can anyone guess why he was named this???) This was when we first brought him home. He was small enough to fit totally in the palm of both hands placed together... Has he changed at all? You will have to wait for another episode...
I am still working on the socks and hubby's scarf! I have made it through the first 2 skeins of yarn, only 4 to go until it is finished!
I found out at work today that I am starting a new position in my department. It will still be engineering, but the change will remove my current equipment responsibilities and I will be more of a process troubleshooter. This change sounds great and I am really excited!!! I need to get a start on the brag sheet tomorrow, the first revision is due to the boss on Wednesday...
Tomorrow is also Stitch and Bitch night!!! I am really excited! It will be fun to see everyone again! I don't care how bad my ass is dragging, if I am well enough to go to work (and no longer contagious), then I am well enough to hit SnB!!!

UFO Update
Since we live in the beautiful state of New Mexico, dealing with UFO's is a regular thing... In this case, UFO is an unfinished object...
Our first one is my hubby's scarf... Hopefully, I can finish it while he can still use it for the colder part of motorcycle riding season... We are about 1/3 of the way through this..
The second picture is the toe-up sock from the Socknitters knitalong group at Yahoo. After having a bit of a problem with holes in the toes when I first cast on, I have somehow figured out how to make the toes without the holes (must have been doing the increases wrong) and it is looking pretty good. The sock will be a twisted rib pattern when I am finished.
I need two projects on the needles when I am working on things like this, otherwise, I tend to go a bit stir-crazy...
We are going to hang with the in-laws this afternoon for our belated holiday celebration, it should be a lot of fun. Then, back home to watch more playoff football (YO! BCS! Take a hint from the pros, we NEED a playoff system) and more knitting...
